BBQ Beans

Serves 12

  • 4 tins mixed beans
  • 4 slices diced bacon
  • 50g chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp general rub
  • 300ml (10½ fl oz) gold plated barbecue sauce
  • 50g (2oz) brown sugar

Use a barbecue skillet to fry the bacon until crispy, add the onion and cook until soft.
Transfer the bacon to a saucepan and add the onion, beans, rub, sauce and brown sugar. Simmer for 20 minutes and serve.
